Revelation Resolutions
Many people make New Year’s resolutions after examining their yearly caloric intake in a mirror; or, perhaps, they realize that their well-intentioned exercise habits from ’09 went from marginal to meager to missing. In addition to your physical resolutions, I would suggest some spiritual ones that come from the letter to the seven churches in the book of Revelation.
1. I will not forget my first love, Jesus Christ.
2. I will remain faithful to our Lord even unto death.
3. I will never tolerate false teaching.
4. I will keep myself physically and spiritually pure.
5. I will remain in the truth.
6. I will allow no one to take my crown.
7. I will not tolerate being lukewarm spirituality.
Keep these resolutions in mind as you move further into another year filled with challenges and, possibly...His return. Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!
