Earthquakes The Future is Here

What we have seen in Haiti is an earthquake of biblical proportions. The capital city was virtually leveled. Bill Rudge, and his wife and children, as well as many of his staff, have been to Haiti several times and have a great love for these people. One hundred percent of all donations designated for Haiti will go toward missions, which we personally know, in order to assist in relief efforts.
Matthew 24:7 points out one of the signs indicating the beginning of birth pains prior to the return of Jesus Christ is earthquakes in various places. The book of Revelation specifically mentions five major earthquakes during the Tribulation. Revelation 6 indicates that after the sixth seal is opened there will be an earthquake so severe every mountain and island will be moved out of their places. A global earthquake of cataclysmic proportions will occur as all the earth's faults and plates fracture and shift simultaneously. There will have been many earthquakes (Matthew 24:7), prior to this big one (Revelation 6:12-14), but there is yet an even greater one coming.
Just as Haiti's capital city was virtually leveled, the Bible prophesies a coming earthquake will level all the cities of the world. Revelation foretells that at the end of the Tribulation there will be the most severe earthquake to ever occur since man has been on earth. This coming earthquake will be so tremendous that the cities of the nations will collapse (16:18,19). The Bible alone accurately foretells what is going to happen because only God knows the future. He knew and described in Scripture what world conditions would be like before the return of His Son.
What we are seeing now is only the beginning of birth pains before the birth of Christ's millennial kingdom. But before Christ's establishes His earthly reign as King of kings and Lord of lords, Scripture prophesies a seven-year Tribulation.
This is an amazing time to be alive as all the prophetic Scriptures surrounding Christ's second coming should be fulfilled in your lifetime. Be sure you know the One who knows and determines the future.
